Make a Real Impact in Uganda Today

Morning Star Christian School is located just 12 km south of Kampala, Uganda’s capital city. It serves the remote village of Mutungo Kigo, where most families live on less than $3 a day. Life is incredibly hard. Without outside help, many children here never get a chance to go to school.

Right now, nearly 200 students attend the school — up from 130 last year. That’s a big sign of hope. But to keep up with the growth and meet government standards, we need your help.

The Need Is Urgent

Many children in Mutungo Kigo dream of a better life, but poverty keeps them from even the basics — like clean water, safe bathrooms, or a place to sleep.

Here’s what we’re urgently raising funds for:

1. Finish the Perimeter Wall – $13,000 Needed

The government requires a full security wall around the school. We’ve built 60% — but we need your help to finish the rest and protect the students.

2. Rebuild the Bathroom Facility – $15,000 Needed

The current bathrooms are unsafe and do not meet standards. We must remove the old building, install a new septic tank, and build 8 safe stalls for the children.

3. Complete the Boys Dormitory & Cafeteria – $15,000 Needed

A church in Florida helped build most of the two-story structure. It now needs plumbing and interior plastering to be safe and ready for the kids.

We have relationships with Americans doing mission work in Uganda for over 30 years. One of them is Pastor Bob Hayes who runs the African Christian Training Institute.

To give, on his website below, click ‘Donate now through Network for Good’ and fill out the required fields. That has a low surcharge (5%) for international money transfers. Memo the giving to – “Sam Kisembo”. The money will get to Sam in days, and you can set up recurring giving there as well.
